Bear Bronson reflects on his relationship with Brian Myers throughout his wrestling career.

Bronson has been a part of the official TNA roster since January of this year, but has been a part of the product since last year. Prior to that, Bronson was a part of the AEW/ROH roster and is a familiar face to the US independent wrestling scene, having dipped his toes in deathmatch wrestling.

While speaking to the I Love Wrestling podcast, Bear Bronson spoke about his relationship with Brian Myers.

“I think Brian, him and I have been close for over 10 years now. He trained me from when I was an 18 year old kid. I think he just saw where I was. Cause again, he’s been there every step of the way for me. He saw where I was, how I felt about it, what I did about it, and I’ll just be frank with you. He did not agree with everything, every decision I made, I decided to dive headfirst into the deathmatch wrestling world. I made a name for myself, a huge name for myself. Let’s not kid here, and while he doesn’t- he was afraid for me at first. When I dove headfirst into that world, he was like very, he was scared for me, worried for me, and he still is whenever I dip my toes back in. But I also think he saw this as a complete reinvention and he saw how it could benefit him in the system.”

Elsewhere in the same interview, Bronson spoke about his AEW exit. You can read more about that here.
