Marina Shafir: My Character Is A Part Of Me, It’s Always Been A Part Of Me

Marina Shafir opens up about her love for wrestling.

Shafir has really grown into her role since aligning with the Death Riders in 2024. This hard work recently paid off at the most recent Revolution event, as Shafir got to compete in her first ever pay-per-view singles match for AEW.

Speaking with High Times magazine for a new interview, Shafir noted that she likes her job so much because she gets to flex.

“I love a good flex. I’m not talking about a physical flex, but like an energy flex. That’s why I love my job so much.”

Continuing on, Shafir said that wrestling is like “action theatre”.

“I’ve always had an infatuation with martial arts. I was able to fall in love with judo and MMA, and now something completely branched out from those things. It’s action theatre. We get to tell our stories in a physical way.”

As it turns out, Shafir’s character is just based on herself.

“My character is a part of me. It’s always been a part of me.”
