Johnny TV Credits Stephanie McMahon For Coming Up With His Slow-Mo Entrance In WWE

Stephanie McMahon was behind the entrance.

Guest appearing on Off The Ropes was Johnny TV, and during the chat, he went over the collective time he spent as a member of the WWE talent roster.

He was asked about the signature slow-motion entrance he had in WWE and revealed that it was Stephanie McMahon’s idea for him to do that.

“That was mostly Stephanie (McMahon) actually. We were having a conversation about entrance ideas and I had brought up wanting to have a more cinematic vibe to the entrance, and man, I think I’d talked about trying to use a phantom camera that shoots — it’d shoot almost 100,000 frames per second so if you see those water drops like slowly dropping, I thought about doing something like that. I thought about a cinema treatment but Goldust had kind of already done that and then she just kind of put together in her head, like, ‘Why don’t we just go from regular speed to slow-mo, and then there will be a timelapse, and then you can walk out,’ and I’m actually really glad that she said that and it was her idea because when she thought of it, it happened very quickly,” he laughed. “That’s the secret to ideas.”

Johnny’s last run in WWE lasted from 2019 until 2021. He is currently with AEW/ROH, and in addition to working independent dates, he is featured in CMLL.
