Anthony Ogogo On AEW/ROH Absence: I’m Biding My Time For An Opportunity

Anthony Ogogo is waiting for an opportunity.

As of publish time, Ogogo has not wrestled for Ring Of Honor since November 2025, when he teamed with Lee Moriarty and Shane Taylor. Going back even further, Ogogo has not wrestled for AEW since August 2024, when he took part in a sixteen-man tag during the Zero Hour portion of AEW All In London.

Speaking with ITR Wrestling for a new interview, Ogogo was asked about his lengthy absence from both promotions.

“I guess I am biding my time for an opportunity. The AEW roster is stacked, it’s a stacked roster. We sign new talent all the time. Sometimes you got to sit out and wait and that’s what I have been doing. Perhaps longer than I would have liked. When I joined I thought I would be one of the biggest stars in the company by now. But, listen, in the industry of pro wrestling you are at the behest of others. You can be the best but it’s not always down to you. It’s not my company. I can do what I am doing. I can train like I am training week in week out with Billy Gunn, QT Marshall, some of the best wrestling minds. I am wrestling lots on the independents and QT Marshall has his own show 1FW. I am getting the most experience possible so when I get the nod I can take it with both hands.”

Continuing on, Ogogo noted that he’s ready to show the world what he can do.

“It’s been a long, frustrating last couple of years buddy because I relocated my whole life from the UK to do this, I have trained and in great physical shape as you can see, so I am ready to show the world what I can do again.”

Earlier this month, Ogogo trained with AJ Styles. Fans can learn more by clicking here.
