Mercedes Martinez Says She Wants To Face Nattie This Year: ‘That’s The One Match I’ve Yet To Have In My Career’
Mercedes Martinez wants to wrestle Nattie this year.
In 2026, Mercedes Martinez will retire as a full-time wrestler. One of the opponents she would like to face before that is Nattie, she revealed in a recent interview.
Speaking on The A2theK Wrestling Show, Mercedes said she doesn’t want to face Natalya but Nattie, who she calls her true self.
“[What] I’m hoping to cross off my bucket list is wrestling Nattie/Natalya. That’s the one match I’ve yet to have in my career. Mind you, we’ve been in promotions together. It’s just we were never put together. I don’t know why, maybe because of storylines, or she was brought in for somebody else. I’ve wrestled the who’s who. I’ve wrestled Mickie James, I’ve wrestled Beth Phoenix [and] Jazz. But Nattie, somehow we just couldn’t get the match put together. I am hoping that at some point this year I do get that match, and WWE lets it happen. I don’t want Natalya, because I love Natalya. Natalya has been around for years. I want the authentic self of Natalya, which is Nattie, her true self.”
