Sandman is one of the most iconic names in ECW history, as an original of the promotion and the brand as a whole. Next month, he will retire from the ring by facing off with The Invisible Man. However, back when he first got into the world of professional wrestling, he had a favorite wrestler that may surprise some fans.
While speaking to FOX 29 Philadelphia in a new interview, The Sandman spoke about the early days of his wrestling fandom, and was asked about watching wrestling as a kid.
“I watched it every day. Saturday afternoon, one o’clock, I was sitting in front of my television watching either like Channel 48 or Channel 29 back in the day.”
Sandman was then asked who his first favorite wrestler was, naming Superstar Billy Graham.
“Superstar Billy Graham was my very first favorite and then the next was Dusty Rhodes.”
