Pro wrestling today is has evolved from the product of the past, much like most realms of entertainment and sport. For The Sandman, he’s likened it to the difference between black and white TV and color TV.

While speaking to FOX 29 Philadelphia in a new interview, The Sandman spoke about the difference between wrestling now and wrestling 20 or 30 years ago.

“Well, everybody’s smaller now. Back in the day you it was like a big man’s game. Now it’s more, it’s like a little man’s game now.  If you look at the business, it’s so much more athletic today than it was 20, 30 years ago. Forget it. It’s like night and day. Like the stuff that the guys are doing in the ring now compared to then, it was like black and white TV to like color TV.”

Elsewhere in the same interview, The Sandman spoke about the first wrestler that he classed as his ‘favorite’. You can read more about that here.
