Goldberg Feels WWE Showed Disrespect By His Retirement Speech Not Airing On Live Feed, Calls Triple H A ‘Jackass’

Goldberg minces no words.

WWE Hall of Famer Goldberg had his retirement match in July 2025 at Saturday Night’s Main Event. He was submitted by GUNTHER in what was a 14-minute match.

The show was simulcast on NBC and Peacock, and as a result of time constraints, Goldberg’s retirement speech had to be uploaded to YouTube and did not air as part of the live broadcast.

A fan named Sunny Quinn caught up with Goldberg at a meet and greet. He recorded their chat with Meta glasses. Quinn mentioned that it pissed him off that Goldberg’s speech was not able to make the broadcast, and Goldberg responded:

“Yeah, well, what do you think it did for me? Made me really happy too,” he said sarcastically. “It just shows what disrespect they have for me.” Quinn then asked what ‘jackass’ made that call and brought up Paul ‘Triple H’ Levesque’s name, and Goldberg said, “Probably. 100 percent (Triple H is a jackass).”

Quinn then told Goldberg not to worry about Triple H, and Goldberg said he is not worried about anything.
