Eddie Edwards addresses whether he would put himself on the Mount Rushmore of TNA, explaining why he would not.

Edwards has been a staple of TNA for over a decade now, and has become one of the flag bearers of the promotion. Despite this, he remains humble when it comes to his impact on the promotion.

While speaking to the Generation of Wrestling podcast in a new interview, Eddie Edwards was asked if he would put himself on the Mount Rushmore of TNA talent, noting that he feels that is reserved for ‘the guys and girls who helped cement TNA as a new option for professional wrestling’.

“I’m not gonna- I would never be one to put myself on a Mount Rushmore of anything at this point, but very much, you know, I would like to be considered a pillar, a flag bearer of TNA. There’s a reason that I’ve been a part of TNA for so long. It’s because I believe in, in our product and what we’ve been doing. And especially now, you know, with everything we got going on, there’s a reason that I’ve been a part of this brand for so long. So, I always want to be referred to as, you know, somebody who is proud to raise and wave the flag for TNA and also constantly try to be one of the pillars of the company going forward as well as the foundation. Mount Rushmore, that’s more for the guys and girls who were there at the beginning and helped cement TNA as a new option for professional wrestling. For me, it’s more about helping move it forward the best I can and help reform the foundation of TNA.”

Edwards is scheduled to take on Mike Santana for the TNA World Championship at TNA Rebellion. You can read more about that here.
