Eddie Edwards comments on his upcoming TNA World Title match with Mike Santana at TNA Rebellion.
On April 11th at TNA Rebellion, Santana and Edwards are to face off with the TNA World Championship on the line, as Edwards is set to cash in his Feast Or Fired briefcase for the title shot.
While speaking to the Generation Of Wrestling Podcast in a new interview, Eddie Edwards spoke about the upcoming title match with Santana.
“It’s the main event of one of our biggest shows of the year. It’s Rebellion, and any time you’re in a main event of a big show, you get to feel that pressure. Going into it, I enjoy being in those spots. This is the pressure that we all want. You know what I mean? This is the moments that there’s all the hard work that we do. We want to be in those top-billed matches on pay-per-view, and that’s what the situation is. You know, going into it, I’m just going out there, and there’s these matches where you go in knowing that when you walk to the back, you know, when the match is over, you know you’re going to be beat up. You’re going to be bruised. You’re going to be exhausted. You’re going to feel that adrenaline pumping, that’s what I look forward into in a match like this. I want to feel that coming from the back. I want to feel like I left it all out there. You know what I mean? Because I know I will. I know Santana will, he has been a great champion. There’s no denying it. He has worked his ass off for it, but I know we’re both in there together. We have similar mindset where we’re going to leave it all out there. We are, we are the main event in Cleveland, Ohio (at) Rebellion. Like let’s leave it all out there. Let’s bust our ass and leave it out there. So I’m looking forward to that feeling of pure exhaustion when I walk to the back and a feeling of true accomplishment. That is my goal, and, of course, feeling as a world champion walking out of there.”
Elsewhere in the same interview, Edwards was asked if he would put himself on TNA’s Mount Rushmore. You can read more about that here.
