Don Callis Compares The Don Callis Family To The Edmonton Oilers

The Don Callis Family is the biggest faction in AEW, and possibly all of wrestling, housing talent such as Kazuchika Okada, Konosuke Takeshita, Kyle Fletcher, Mark Davis, and more. Their injury report is larger than some stables.

Any great team deals with injuries with many adopting the “next man up” mentality. Callis views things the same way, viewing the family like a sports team.

“I don’t run my faction like a wrestling faction, but like a family and like a professional sports franchise. The future of All Elite Wrestling is in the Don Callis family. Much like the Edmonton Oilers, I’ve got my Connor McDavid, I’ve got my Leon Draisaitl, I’ve got my Zach Hyman, go up and down the lineup, I’ve got all the talent, and it’s almost unfair,” Callis told Trevor Robb of the Edmonton Journal. 

Callis did not name who the McDavid, Draisaitl, and Hyman of the Family are.

Unlike the Edmonton Oilers in recent years, the Callis family has championships to show for their efforts.
