Tiger Mask IV Announces He Will Retire On July 7

Tiger Mask IV is set to wrap up his career on July 7 at Korakuen Hall.
He announced the date and venue for his final match on April 2 during the NJPW Road to Sakura Genesis Tour. The announcement came after he teamed with Shota Umino to defeat KUSHIDA and Masatora Yasuda.
At the end of the show, he confronted IWGP Junior Heavyweight Champion DOUKI and staked his claim for a title match.
The 55-year-old debuted in 1995 and is the fourth man to wear the mask. He is a six-time IWGP Junior Heavyweight Champion and two-time GHC Junior Heavyweight Tag Team Champion. Though NJPW has been his home for the majority of his career, he’s competed all across the world including WWE, AAA, CMLL, TNA, and more.
