Mike Santana: I’m Hungrier Than Ever, I’m More Motivated Than Ever

Mike Santana is still motivated.

Despite being in the midst of his second reign as the TNA World Champion, Santana is not slowing down in any way, shape, or form. Since winning the title back in January, Santana has wrestled in seven different independent promotions while still fulfilling his duties in TNA and to a lesser extent, NXT.

Speaking with The Sportster for a new interview, the 18 year veteran noted that his hunger has not died down at all.

“I don’t think they understand the version of Mike Santana that they’re getting. I’m more experienced, I’m more hungrier. Just because I’m in this position, just because I’m world champion doesn’t mean that hunger has died down, not even a little bit. If anything, I’m hungrier than ever. I’m more motivated than ever. A lot of guys look at this position as, ‘Alright, finally, I accomplished it and now I can just chill and relax.’ I look at it as the total opposite. Now, the work really starts.”
