Road Dogg Speaks About Bobby Roode’s Standing As A WWE Producer, Says Triple H ‘Leans On’ Roode
Paul Levesque leans on Bobby Roode.
Bobby Roode transitioned from being an in-ring performer at WWE to being a backstage producer. Brian ‘Road Dogg’ James, who left the company in early March, spoke about Roode during a virtual signing.
He was asked if Roode is being ‘groomed’ to be the next Michael Hayes backstage. James stated that Chief Content Officer Paul ‘Triple H’ Levesque leans on Roode.
“God, I hope not. He’s gotta snort a lot of cocaine to catch up,” he jokingly said about Roode being set up to be the next Michael Hayes. “I don’t know how much grooming is going (on) but look, Bobby’s got a great sense for what we do here and Hunter leans on him so, he’s not being groomed but he’s definitely in a great spot right now.”
Bobby Roode is shown on WWE TV in pull-apart segments and brawls. He appeared on-screen at NXT Homecoming in 2025.
