WWE SmackDown Results (4/3): Cody Rhodes And Randy Orton Appear

WWE held the latest episode of WWE SmackDown on April 3 from the Enterprise Center in St. Louis, MO. The event aired on USA Network and Netflix.

WWE SmackDown Results (4/3)
- Randy Orton opens the show and says Cody Rhodes doesn’t know the killer he has awoken. Cody comes down to brawl. Pat McAfee runs in and kicks Cody in the dick. McAfee reveals himself as the man on the phone with Orton and effectively says that WWE sucks with terrible ratings and ticket sales, and not being the Attitude Era. He explains that the business Cody is leading is terrible and that Randy is going to save the business.
- McAfee and Orton leave together.
- Rhea Ripley def. Michin
- B-Fab and Michin attack Rhea after the match. IYO SKY makes the save.
- Aleister Black speaks with Matt Cardona backstage. Cardona suggests they fight tonight.
- Solo Sikoa asks who is going to step up and fight Uncle Howdy for the lantern. Tama Tonga wonders why they are fighting for the lantern. Solo picks Tama to fight Howdy. Tama says he’s going out there alone.
- Rhea says Jade can’t do it alone, but while Jade has followers, she has a friend. IYO says she’ll always have Rhea’s back.
- Uncle Howdy def. Tama Tonga. Solo Sikoa came down to help, which upset Tama and led to Howdy getting the victory.
- Tama takes the lantern from Solo and sets it down so it can be grabbed by Howdy.
- R-Truth accepts Miz’ challenge for a match, agreeing to defend the tag titles against Miz & Kit Wilson.
- Jacob Fatu reflects on his journey and says being locked up led him to the unsanctioned match against Drew McIntyre at WrestleMania 42.
- Sami Zayn wants to make sure he has his pyro for his celebration. Nick Aldis says he’s taken care of things and last week Sami did what Sami does in getting himself a Mania match. He’s about to head to the ring, but Trick Williams’ music hits. Lil Yachty is with him. Trick invites Yachty to be with him at WrestleMania, and Yachty agrees. Trick gets on the second rope and tells them to his Sami’s pyro. The pyro goes off and Sami comes out. Sami says that Trick has the presentation down, but that’s never been his thing. He said his thing has always been performing in the ring and that he’s going to humble him at WrestleMania. Trick wants Sami to thank him for helping him win the title last week. Carmelo Hayes interrupts. He says he’ll get revenge on Trick for what he did before turning his attention to Sami, saying what Sami did last week didn’t sit right with him. He said he carried SmackDown and the people want him and not Sami at WrestleMania, the crowd agrees. He wants his rematch. Sami said the WrestleMania match is official so if Melo wants his rematch, it’ll be after WrestleMania. Trick tells Sami to give Melo his chance. Sami eventually agrees to give Melo his rematch tonight and then takes out Trick.
- Solo asks Tama why he gave the lantern back. Tama said it was tearing them apart and that they need to get back to taking over SmackDown. Solo agreed.

- Bayley and Lyra Valkyria hype their match against Charlotte Flair & Alexa Bliss.
- Johnny Gargano tells R-Truth that “Johnny Wrestling” is back tomorrow at NXT Stand & Deliver. Damian Priest speaks with Truth about their tag title match. Truth thinks Danhausen is Asuka.
- Drew McIntyre says Jacob will not change and will be nothing more than a dirty convict. He calls him a nepo convict, making him the worst member of the family. He will show the world the real Jacob Fatu next week.
- Charlotte Flair & Alexa Bliss def. Lyra Valkyria & Bayley
- Lash Legend & Nia Jax attack both teams after the match.
- Danhausen pops up behind Miz & Kit Wilson. He says he will accompany Kit & Miz, undo the curse, and they can win. Miz tells him to shove his curse.
- WWE Tag Team Championships: Damian Priest & R-Truth (c) def. The Miz & Kit Wilson. Danhausen interfered in the match and cursed the referee thanks to the Miz. The ref couldn’t count three when Miz had the pin.
- Cody Rhodes comes out and says McAfee being the mystery man was like if Disco Inferno was the third man in the NWO. Cody says the people who brought back Pat can kiss his ass. “What are you gonna do, fire me? It sure worked out the last time.” He says that he’s hearing the voices in his head, but you don’t want to hear what they have to say.
- WWE United States Championship: Sami Zayn (c) def. Carmelo Hayes
- Lil Yachty calls Sami “the gingerbread man” and Trick attacks Sami. Trick lays out Sami to close the show.
