Naomichi Marufuji Wins First-Ever Universe Cup Tournament

The tournament concludes.

Promotions under the WRESTLE UNIVERSE banner, such as Pro Wrestling NOAH and DDT, were represented in the first-ever Universe Cup tournament.

The tournament concluded on April 6th with a show at Shinjuku FACE in Tokyo, Japan. The winner of the tournament was Naomichi Marufuji, a four-time GHC Heavyweight Champion and the current Executive Vice President of CyberFight, which is NOAH’s parent company.

In the semifinal round, he bested the New Hayabusa, and in the final, he defeated DDT Pro-Wrestling President Sanshiro Takagi.
