Cyrus Pulled From 2026 Champion Carnival Tournament, AJPW Notes That They’ve Not Been Able To Contact Him Directly

AJPW has not been able to contact Cyrus.

April 12th is the start date for All Japan Pro Wrestling’s Champion Carnival tournament. One of the talents scheduled for the tournament was former AJPW TV Six-Man Tag Team Champion Cyrus.

AJPW provided an update on Cyrus’ involvement in the tournament, as the company has not been able to contact him directly. They confirmed the tournament schedule, flight information, accommodations, and compensation with Cyrus.

After getting that in place, the two sides began preparing for Cyrus’ arrival to Japan and obtaining a visa. AJPW added that since then, they’ve not been able to get in contact with Cyrus. AJPW was able to contact his representation, and they learned that Cyrus had cancelled his ticket to Japan.

There has been no direct word from Cyrus about the cancellation, and thus, AJPW decided that he will not be able to compete in the upcoming tournament. His replacement will be named on April 9th.
