DDT Pro-Wrestling’s Sanshiro Takagi Sidelined After Suffering Multiple Facial Fractures

Takagi posted a tweet after the news was made public.

Former DDT Pro-Wrestling President Sanshiro Takagi was last in action on April 6th, and he participated in the final stages of the first-ever Universe Cup tournament. He made it to the final, where he fell in defeat to Naomichi Marufuji.

During the bout, Marufuji delivered a kick to the face of Takagi that caused multiple facial injuries. DDT sent out an update on their former President and noted that he suffered the following facial fractures:

  • Medial wall fracture (eye socket)
  • Orbital floor fracture
  • Nasal bone fracture

Takagi took to social media afterward and noted that he’ll be out of action for a while, but he’ll return.

Although Takagi is no longer the President of DDT, he serves as the Vice President of CyberFight, which is DDT’s parent company.
