Frankie Kazarian Says Conversations About Him Winning TNA World Title Had Been Happening Since 2024
Talks about Kazarian being the World Champion in TNA had been happening for about a year.
In November 2025, Frankie Kazarian cashed in his Call Your Shot Gauntlet trophy on a beaten-up Mike Santana to win his first TNA World Championship.
He held the belt until January 2026, when he dropped the title back to Santana on the TNA Thursday Night iMPACT on AMC premiere show.
While speaking to Daily Star, Kazarian looked back at his title win and stated that conversations about him winning the belt had been happening since 2024.
“Things are discussed all the time. Like, all the time. This happened last year in like, what? October? November, early November. It was being discussed early that year, even the previous year. There were ideas and there was like, ‘Oh, it’s gonna happen.’ It’s like, ‘Ah, we’re gonna do something else’ so like, even up to the minute, I’m never 100 percent sure. Until that 1, 2, 3 happens and you’re holding that title in your hand, that’s when it’s real… It’s pro wrestling. It’s the nature of the beast. Things change all the time so, there had been discussions for the previous year before that had happened.”
Mike Santana is going to be defending the World Title against Eddie Edwards at TNA’s Rebellion pay-per-view on April 11th. Kazarian will also be in action on the show as he’ll be facing Elijah in singles action.
