Emily Jaye Recalls Having To Explain Wrestling Bruises At Her Old Job

Emily Jaye had some explaining to do.

Splitting your life between professional wrestling and another job can often be taxing on many performers. As it turns out, it could also field some awkward questions if you’re Emily Jaye.

Speaking with Fightful’s Sean Ross Sapp for a new interview, Jaye noted that she was asked about bruises on her body at one of her old jobs.

“So at my old job, I would show up with bruises everywhere on my body. I remember one time, I had a lawyer come in and he was a regular. I love him, shout out Scott. Loved you. He was like, ‘Is everything okay at home? ‘Cause every time I see you, you’re covered in bruises.’ I didn’t explain it. I’m like, ‘Oh, like I’m a professional wrestler and all this.’ He goes, ‘Like WWE?’ I said, ‘Yeah. Yeah, Scott.’”
