Will Ospreay reflects on facing Vader in one of his final matches in the world of professional wrestling.
Ospreay would face off with Vader in August of 2016 with RevPro, in what would be one of Vader’s final wrestling matches. The bout spawned off of Vader criticizing Ospreay’s style in the ring beforehand, with the match coming in at under 7 minutes long.
While speaking to Wrestling Brain in a new interview, Will Ospreay was asked about competing against Vader in one of his final matches.
“No, not really, mate. I’ll be honest with you, I feel like- I’m sure everyone has like a great time watching that match, but, like, that day was just a flipping nightmare for me. It’s just a lot, and he was a bit of an odd bastard to deal with. But I don’t want to talk ill of him because he’s not around anymore, but it was quite funny to say I had one of his last matches.”
Elsewhere in the same interview, Ospreay spoke about still being inspired to this day by Kenny Omega. You can read more about that here.
