Alberto El Patron Released On Conditional Suspension

Alberto El Patron has been released on a conditional suspension.
On April 6, Alberto El Patron (Alberto Del Rio in WWE) was arrested on an alleged domestic violence charge.
According to Milenio, Patron was released on a conditional suspension despite there being enough evidence to formally charge him with repeated domestic violence. An alternative resolution was requested, and it was ruled that Patron would have to pay one million one hundred thirty thousand pesos as reparation for the damage, committing to attend rehab therapy for aggressors, and having no contact with the victim in addition to the granting of legal forgiveness by the victim.
October 29, 2026 was set as the date for verifying compliance with these conditions.
Alberto El Patron is still active in the ring, largely competing in Mexico, and was set to open a new promotion. In May 2020 he was arrested for allegedly battering and sexually assaulting his girlfriend. He was charged with one count of sexual assault and one count of assault causing bodily harm and later indicted by a grand jury and formally charged with aggravated kidnapping and sexual assault, but the chargers were dropped in 2021.
