Shane Haste Returns To Pro Wrestling NOAH, Challenging For GHC Heavyweight Title On May 2nd

Shane Haste is back in NOAH.

Closing out Pro Wrestling NOAH’s ‘Apex Conquest’ show on April 12th was a GHC Heavyweight Championship match—the champion Yoshiki Inamura defended against Alpha Wolf.

Inamura bested Wolf to hold on to the title. Going into the match, Inamura addressed past comments from KENTA about him bringing someone with ‘WWE experience’ to challenge Inamura for the belt. Inamura stated that he expected that person to arrive at Apex Conquest.

The individual that KENTA was referring to is Shane Haste. Haste approached Inamura, and after a back-and-forth exchange on the microphone, it was made official that they will meet for the GHC Heavyweight Championship on May 2nd.

Haste spent six years of his pro wrestling career with NOAH. He and Mikey Nicholls, collectively known as T.M.D.K., are two-time GHC Tag Team Champions. Their first title reign was just over 200 days.

Haste and Nicholls joined WWE in 2016. Nicholls left the company in 2018 to be with his family in Australia. Haste was released from WWE in November 2021. He also played the role of ‘SLAPJACK’ in the RETRIBUTION stable.
