CM Punk Says Headlining WrestleMania Again Is ‘Still A Big Deal To Me’

CM Punk has commented on headlining another WrestleMania later this month.

At WrestleMania 42, CM Punk will defend his WWE World Heavyweight Championship against Roman Reigns.

Speaking with SHAK Wrestling recently, CM Punk shared his feelings on getting to main event WrestleMania again.

“WrestleMania is and always will be the pinnacle, top-shelf show in pro wrestling. Bret Hart, Shawn Michaels, those are the guys that we’re always talking about and hovering around the main event when I was watching. I kind of developed that same attitude, like, ‘Oh, so the best guys main event the biggest show.’ So to do it once? Sweet. Do it back-to-back years? It’s like being on the cover of the video game for a second time, it’s still a big deal to me.”

In another interview, CM Punk said that he probably wouldn’t have returned to WWE if he had main-evented WrestleMania during his first run. Fans can check his comments here.
