At AEW Dynasty, Kenny Omega would take on MJF with the AEW World Title on the line. While Omega would take the fight to MJF and have several near misses on a potential victory against ‘The Devil’, MJF would eventually steal a victory from Omega by hitting him with his Dynamite Diamond Ring to turn the tide against Kenny. Now, a close friend of Kenny’s has reacted to the bout and how it has impacted his recovery from injury.
In a new comment on Instagram, Kota Ibushi reacted to a clip of Omega hitting a One Winged Angel on MJF from the second rope. Ibushi noted that Kenny’s performance had ‘given him courage’.
“I can’t be left behind either. You’ve given me courage. Thank you, Kenny. I’ll do my best to step up towards the first stage of my comeback.”
