AJ Styles: My Best WrestleMania Match Was Against Shane McMahon
AJ Styles is considered one of the greatest wrestlers ever and has no shortage of classics in his catalog.
At WrestleMania, Styles has faced the likes of Chris Jericho, Randy Orton, Shinsuke Nakamura, and Edge (Adam Copeland in AEW).
But his best WrestleMania match?
“The best WrestleMania match that I had was against Shane McMahon. It was. You have Shane, who is a perfectionist; he wants it perfect. I get that. We just so happened to place things where they should and the storyline we had going into it made it a perfect match,” Styles said on his Phenomenally Retro podcast.
Styles faced Shane at WrestleMania 33, which was his first victory at WrestleMania.
AJ Styles will not be competing at WrestleMania this year as he officially retired at the Royal Rumble with a loss to Gunther.
He still works with WWE in a scouting capacity.
