Shawn Michaels Had Ethan Page Do Jaw Breaking Chair Spot To Him To Prove It Was Safe
Shawn Michaels was willing to lose his smile again.
On the December 17, 2024 episode of NXT, Ethan Page took Je’Von Evans’ smile by stomping a chair on his jaw.
The attack came after Page announced that he had lost his smile, a callback to a famous promo by Shawn Michaels when he relinquished the WWE Championship.
In the new documentary The Heartbreak Kid: Becoming Shawn Michaels, it was revealed that Page has his reservations over the spot, and Michaels volunteered to take it, proving that it was safe.
Page was still concerned, but ultimately jumped down on the chair to “shatter” Michaels’ jaw.
“I think that’s the least you can do if you’re the guy asking. I would never ask somebody to do something I wasn’t willing to do. If they can do it with me, they’ll do it with each other,” said Michaels.

Page went through with the spot with Michaels, and then on television with Evans.
