Jacob Fatu Shares That ‘I Love You Solo’ Line Was Created Just Before On-Screen Appearance

Jacob Fatu remembers former SmackDown co-lead writer Road Dogg commenting on it.

Jacob Fatu arrived to WWE in June 2024 as a member of Solo Sikoa’s new Bloodline. Fatu pledged his loyalty to Sikoa by continuously saying, ‘I love you, Solo.’

While guest appearing on Raw Recap, Fatu looked back on that stretch of his WWE run and stated that the line was something that was created just before an on-screen appearance. He remembers at the next TV, former SmackDown co-lead writer Brian ‘Road Dogg’ James commented on the line, and Fatu decided to stick with it.

“It’s something that just came up. It just came up right before we walked out. The funny story about that, it was Road Dogg. I seen him in catering the next day. ‘I love you Solo! I love you!’ And I’m thinking, oh, he messing with me. But after a certain time, I was sitting there eating and he walks up, just, ‘Hey man, I don’t know what it was about that. It just stuck with me. I love you Solo.’ Just walks away but you know me, instead of thinking that he messing me, oh, okay, man, I’ma stick to it. I just kept saying it and kept saying it and next thing you know, when the crowd starts coming with it, it was pretty good.”

Elsewhere in the interview, Fatu revealed that he was originally supposed to debut at the 2024 Money in the Bank Premium Live Event. For more on that, click here.
