Big E thought when his wrestling career was over he would sail off into the sunset.
Since suffering a broken neck in a March 2022 bout with Ridge Holland, E has been out of the ring, seemingly being comfortable with his career being over, moving into the broadcasting side of sports.
While speaking to Denise Salcedo on the WWE Hall Of Fame red carpet, Big E spoke about his in ring career ending, noting that he thought he would sail off into the sunset when his career was done, not enter into broadcasting like he has in the mean time.
“It is very different. You know, it definitely was, I wouldn’t say, I don’t know if shaky is the right word, but I had to get comfortable and get my feet wet. It’s interesting because I never fathomed that I’d be in broadcasting. I thought when my career in Ring was over, I’d sail off into the sunset. You wouldn’t hear from me anymore. But I found that I really enjoy new challenges, and it’s been something that I’ve really taken.”
Elsewhere in the same interview, Big E recalled Stephanie McMahon showing him how to seduce Kaitlyn during their 2013 secret admirer angle. You can read more about that here.
