Paige Says Her Goal Was Always To Return To WWE, ‘I’m A WWE Girl Forever’

Paige made her return to WWE at WrestleMania 42, replacing Nikki Bella in the Women’s Tag Team Title bout. Paige and Brie Bella would go on to win the Women’s Tag Titles.

Paige last wrestled in WWE in 2017, but was forced to retire due to a neck injury. She stayed in WWE as a manager and GM, but joined AEW in 2022, returning to the ring after being cleared.

Speaking on the WrestleMania post-show, Paige commented on her return.

“It’s good to be home. About time. The feeling was bonkers. To be in the ring with these two, I’m Pale Bella. It’s not 2016 unless I’m home,” she said.

Asked if her goal was always to return to WWE, she said, “100%. WWE is my home. I was raised here. I’m a WWE girl forever.”

Paige made her WWE debut in 2012 as part of FCW.
