Nashville Tourism Group Says ‘Date Didn’t Work Out’ For Nissan Stadium Hosting WrestleMania 43

In November 2021, a report was published by The Tennessean quoting Butch Spyridon, CEO of the Nashville Convention & Visitors Corp, who said there was a verbal commitment from WWE that Nashville would host WrestleMania 43 at the new Nissan Stadium, which is still in the process of being built.

WWE has already announced that WrestleMania 43 will head to Saudi Arabia for the first time ever.

According to the Nashville Convention & Visitors Corp (via Fox17) as to why WrestleMania 43 won’t be in Nashville, “The date didn’t work out … we are looking at future years.”

Nissan Stadium is not set to open until February 2027.

In November 2021, Spyridon said, “The minute the mayor’s office and the Titans released the stadium term sheet, we started looking for opportunities. WWE had an incredible experience at Nissan Stadium this past summer, and we started talking. WrestleMania is considered the No. 6 top sports event brand in the world, and we are grateful for their confidence and belief in Nashville.”

WWE never officially committed to Nashville as the host of WrestleMania in 2027, but did say they were looking forward to hosting many events with the partnership.
