Alex Shelley: WWE Doing A King Of The Mountain Match Would Be A Good Idea

Alex Shelley would like to see a King Of The Mountain match in WWE.

The stipulation hasn’t been used in TNA since 2022, when the first ever Queen Of The Mountain match was held at TNA Slammiversary. Fans still consider the match type to be a relevant talking point in terms of wrestling history.

Speaking with Fox News Digital for a new interview, both Alex Shelley and Chris Sabin were asked about WWE possibly borrowing a match stipulation or two from TNA.

“Man, I’ve never thought about King of the Mountain. I think that’s a good idea. I love King of the Mountain.” Shelley noted.

Chris Sabin chimed in and joked that he doesn’t want to take part in another Ultimate X match.

“Myself, I would like to take my name of the hat for Ultimate X matches because I lost count of how many I’ve done – north of 20. So, I’ve done plenty of those. Had my fill of those matches.”

Sabin and Shelley last wrestled on April 16, as they wrestled Fraxiom at WWE World. Check out all results from WWE World shows by clicking here.
