Darby Allin Submits Tommaso Ciampa With Scorpion Death Lock To Retain AEW World Title On AEW Dynamite
Darby Allin remains champion.
Just one week after winning the belt, Allin chose to defend the AEW World Championship against Tommaso Ciampa on this week’s episode of AEW Dynamite. As expected, Ciampa dominated a majority of the match until the finishing sequence, which allowed Darby to retain his title.
The sequence in question saw Allin kick out of Ciampa’s running knee strike. Ciampa tried to apply a Scorpion Death Lock, but it was reversed in the favor of Darby. After some resilience, the ‘Psycho Killer’ submitted to Allin.

After the match, Brody King came to the ring and challenged Darby Allin to a title match on next week’s episode of Dynamite. Being a fighting champion, Allin accepted.
