Charlie (Dakota Kai) Addresses If She Is Looking To Get Signed

She thinks her path is the indies.

The newest recording of Insight with Chris Van Vliet was a sit-down chat with Charlie, f.k.a. Dakota Kai. During the chat, Charlie was asked if she was looking to be signed to a contract.

She stated that if it happens, it happens, but she is not actively pursuing that and thinks her path is the indies for now.

“If that happens and everything works out, that would be awesome. But I think at the moment, my path right now is just indie bookings here and there, just have fun and wrestle.” Van Vliet mentioned AEW or TNA as landing spots, and Charlie responded, “Not necessarily on that level. Yeah, nothing too crazy. But also, I took the time off. So I think getting back into it, they might happen, who knows? But at the moment, I just want to focus on me and just do fun matches and shows here and there. Yeah, have fun with it.”

Kai has wrestled two matches since her release from WWE in May 2025. She’s wrestled Kris Statlander and Shotzi Blackheart.
