Bianca Belair Opens Up About Deciding To Have A Child During Time Away From Wrestling, Provides Update On Finger Injury

Bianca Belair opens up.

At WrestleMania 42, Bianca Belair made her first WWE TV appearance since the summer of 2025. Belair has not wrestled since WrestleMania 41, where she suffered a broken finger and knuckle during the WWE Women’s World Championship bout.

At the 2026 installment of WrestleMania, Belair revealed that she and Montez Ford are expecting a child. She posted a vlog about her pregnancy and opened up about making the decision to create a family during her time away from the ring.

On the finger injury front, Belair stated that she lost a portion of her joint, which cannot be fixed.

“So as everybody knows, at WrestleMania, I broke my finger. I broke my knuckle and I have joint damage, and I lost a portion of my joint which can’t be fixed. I originally thought it was gonna be a pretty straightforward recovery. They said 8 to 12 weeks, but it just started not really healing correctly. It still won’t bend to this day… and I can’t get in the ring. It kind of just got to the point where I hit four months and I have always wanted to have a baby. I’m not getting any younger and honestly, this is what I want to do and I feel like for so long I was kind of putting what I wanted to do and myself on the back burner. Me and my husband, we had a talk and I kind of just told him, ‘I’m ready just to do something for me, and I’ve sacrificed enough and I’m ready to have a baby.’”

Belair’s list of accolades in WWE is as follows:

  • WWE Women’s Championship (two times)
  • SmackDown Women’s Championship
  • WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship (two times)
  • Women’s Royal Rumble winner (2021)
