Rossy Ogawa Thinks Marigold May Have Lost Some Credibility Following STARDOM Copyright Situation

Ogawa further addresses the situation.
In April, Dream Star Fighting Marigold founder Rossy Ogawa issued an apology after an internal investigation was conducted, which revealed that Marigold violated STARDOM’s copyright.
There was a Mayu Iwatani card collection that Marigold was selling to celebrate her 15 years in pro wrestling. The collection included pictures of Iwatani from her STARDOM run. Ogawa is a co-founder of the STARDOM promotion.
Ogawa further addressed the situation during an interview with BBM Sports. He also commented on the images circulating on social media of the empty seating at Marigold’s Korakuen Hall show.
“Yes, I think we might have lost some credibility because of that incident, but I’m not sure. Also, since Korakuen Hall isn’t sold out, people ask, ‘Is Marigold okay?’ Or, ‘What’s going on?’ But we’re steadily growing our business by working hard in the regions. I think people who watch us regularly know that. Those who only look at the surface don’t get it. The quality of the matches is improving, so I think there’s a disconnect between the satisfaction of those who actually attend and those who just check us out on social media.”
The latest on the Marigold front is that the first-ever Marigold World Champion, Sareee, is returning to the promotion.
