Ric Flair is widely known for his famous stories about going out on the town and pursuing women, with other wrestlers commonly referring to the extreme elements of Flair’s partying habits. Now, Paul Wight has recalled a story about going out with Flair.

While speaking to The Chris Evans Breakfast Show in a new interview, Paul Wight spoke about an occasion where he went out on the town with Ric Flair and the aftermath.

“I know that we went to a club where, you know, hopefully my kids don’t watch this, we went to a club where ladies wear scantily clothes and dance on a stage, and by the end of it, the club was closed and I was on the stage dancing, and I get to work the next Monday and it was Eric Bischoff and Kevin Sullivan that were my bosses at the time. They pulled me in the office and said, ‘you’re not allowed to hang out with Ric Flair anymore,’ and he says, ‘but you have to go tell him,’ and I went, I have to go tell Ric Flair that I can’t hang out with him because you guys told me because he’s a bad influence. So that’s what I did. Then Ric started laughing. He goes, ‘what do you mean the kid can’t hang out with me?’ So that’s my Ric Flair (story). I’ve been in a lot of situations with him where… it’s like, you know, if your liver had laces, like you tie up your boots tight, if you’re going out with Rick, you got to lace your liver up tight because it’s going to be a night.”

Elsewhere in the same interview, Wight recalled Floyd Mayweather’s grandmother chewing him out after their WrestleMania 24 bout. You can read more about that here.
