Will Ospreay & United Empire Win NEVER Openweight 6-Man Tag Team Titles At NJPW Wrestling Dontaku 2026
New NEVER Openweight 6-Man Tag Team Champions.
The semi-main event of NJPW Wrestling Dontaku 2026 was the trio of Hirooki Goto, YOSHI-HASHI, and Oleg Boltin putting the NEVER Openweight 6-Man Tag Team Championship on the line against United Empire (Will Ospreay, HENARE & Great-O-Khan).
United Empire hit a triple team move on YOSHI-HASHI, where HENARE and O-Khan held him up, and Ospreay jumped off the ropes and hit YOSHI-HASHI with a Hidden Blade. O-Khan secured the pin to get the win and the titles.
It is the first time Ospreay has been a champion in New Japan since 2023, when he was the IWGP U.S. Heavyweight Champion, now known as the IWGP Global Heavyweight Championship.
Bishamon and Boltin had been in possession of the titles since January 2026.
Post-match, O-Khan stated that he and HENARE are also aiming for the IWGP Tag Team Championship and invited the champions, the Knock Out Brothers (Yuto-Ice & OSKAR), to the ring. K.O.B. joined them in the ring, and Yuto-Ice said he and OSKAR are game.
