Big E Responds To New Day Leaving WWE

On Saturday, New Day (Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods) officially departed WWE. The two sides reportedly mutually agreed to split after New Day was reportedly asked to restructure their contracts.

Both men issued statements on their departure on Monday. Shortly after the statements were issued, Big E, who was part of New Day when the group formed in 2014, responded to both men.

Responding to Woods, Big E wrote, “You have inspired me for many years and continue to. What a blessing it is to call you family. Love you immensely. Your impact on this business is immeasurable. You turned your dreams into reality. A real life alchemist. You have been a blessing to so many people backstage, to your peers in the ring, and to fans around the world. What a run.”

Responding to Kofi, he wrote, “My brother, my family, to the grave. And beyond. A living legend. In and out of the ring. Love you dearly.”

Big E remains with WWE in an analyst role. He was kicked out of New Day in December 2024 after he had to retire from in-ring competition due to a neck injury.
