Byron Saxton explains what he likes to do in his off time as well as what he would be doing if he wasn’t working in wrestling.

Saxton has been a part of WWE since signing with the company in 2007, initially signing as a wrestler and later transitioned into the role of an announcer and backstage interviewer, a role he continues to have to this day.

While speaking to Mr Cooper TV in a new interview, Byron Saxton was asked what he liked to do in his off time.

“I love focusing on my health. If I can check out a movie. A big thing, I’m a big museum guy. So anybody who follows my social media knows whenever I come to a different town for WWE television or live events, I got to find a spot to visit. I got to find a museum because I love just learning. I love expanding my mental repertoire and experiencing new things.”

Byron was then asked what he would be doing if he wasn’t working in the wrestling industry.

“Well, my previous career to WWE was that of a television news reporter. I did news sports and traffic. Really? I stood in front of a green screen. I’ve talked about 6 a.m. traffic jams. Channel 4 News, actually Channel 4 is where I used to work. But yeah, so if I never came to WWE, which was my dream, there’s a very strong possibility that I would still be working in TV news in some capacity.”

Saxton was originally pitched to be the host of the original version of WWE NXT. You can read more about that here.
