Shannon Moore Says 2006 WWE Return Came After Texting Vince McMahon

Shannon Moore got a contract from WWE for his second return simply after texting Vince McMahon.

Back in the 2000s, Shannon Moore was signed to WWE. He worked for them from 2002 to 2005 before leaving the company. After this, Moore went to TNA to build his character before returning to WWE in 2006.

Speaking with Rewind Recap Relive, the wrestler was asked about this return.

“I was like, ‘Man, I need money right now.’ I’m doing some really good stuff in TNA. My character’s been developed. I was like, ‘I’m gonna get a hold of Vince.’ I was remarried at that point to a costume designer that was in WWE. I had asked her like the night before we filmed. I was like, ‘Hey, can you ask Vince if it’s okay. Like, send him some pictures of what I’m doing now.’ She wasn’t able to like get a hold of Vince because he was so busy that day. I shot Vince a text message on his cell phone. I was like, ‘Hey Vince, it’s Shannon Moore.’ Like just throwing a shot in the dark that he would even get it. We filmed TNA that night and I was at the Double Tree. My buddy who actually just passed away, Carrie, was with me down there. Me and him were walking from the Double Tree to this Japanese restaurant in Orlando that was close to the Double Tree. Johnny Ace called me. He’s like, ‘Hey kid. I don’t know what you did, but Vince has come to me and looks like you got your contract coming to you. We’re going to sign you back.’ I was like, ‘Oh, okay. Thanks, Johnny.’”

Elsewhere in another interview, Moore spoke about Tony Khan. Fans can check his comments here.
