Kevin Nash Says New Day Made The Right Choice In Leaving WWE, ‘It Was A Slap In The Face’

On May 2, New Day (Kofi Kingston & Xavier Woods) reportedly departed WWE. The duo confirmed their departure two days later. They were reportedly asked to restructure their contracts and reports indicate that multiple talents were asked to take a 50% pay cut.

Kingston had been with the company since 2006 while Woods had been there since 2010. Kingston, Woods, and Big E formed New Day in 2014.

Speaking on his Kliq This podcast, Kevin Nash was asked if New Day made the right decision to leave.

“Absolutely. They made their choice. Both of those guys have been there 16-17 years. Slap in the face. Both of those guys are my friends,” he said.
