Report: AEW Has Expressed Interest In Working With Mick Foley

A new report regarding Mick Foley and AEW.

Jon Alba of Sports Illustrated’s The Takedown reports that “AEW has expressed ‘real’ interest in working with Foley this year, though the capacity of which is not known. It was also not certain whether or not the organization would be interested in signing the 60-year-old, or if it would simply be an appearance.”

Mick Foley cut ties with WWE earlier this year due to their support of President Donald Trump, who Foley has opposed. He praised AEW for not censoring “Fuck ICE” chants on their programming when Brody King faced MJF.

Foley and MJF have publicly discussed the idea of doing a program building to Foley’s last match years ago, but the plans never made it to television.
