Kit Wilson Shares That He Once Pitched To Be Part Of Chelsea Green’s Secret Hervice Group

Kit Wilson’s idea started picking up some traction, but there was a pivot.

Making an appearance on Busted Open was WWE’s Kit Wilson. He opened up about the role he’s in now on WWE television, as his partner, Elton Prince, is recovering from neck fusion surgery.

Speaking about ideas he was thinking of leaning into when he first embarked on his non-Pretty Deadly run, he shared that he pitched to be part of Chelsea Green’s Secret Hervice group, but the writers at WWE decided to lean into Wilson’s ‘toxic masculinity’ gimmick.

“Unfortunately, he (Elton Prince) suffers the injury and you’re right, I could see the potential writing on the wall. As we all know, it’s the WWE. Anything could happen. I felt like I could just, for lack of better terms, be in catering the whole time. So I realized I needed something so I started pitching big, and I’m big fans of The Miz, a Chris Jericho of the world, a Shawn Michaels of the world and I kind of felt like I wanted a lane where we could have a certain character, which we could lean on and use maybe as a catchphrase here but, also show that I can work in many different ways, and that’s the kind of direction I tried to start heading in. I pitched tons of things. I pitched to be in the Secret Hervice, with Chelsea (Green), and that seemed like that was getting some headway. There was some potential there. We got some gear made. The writers really started liking the idea of this toxic masculinity thing so I started talking to them more about it.”

Wilson was in action at WWE’s Backlash Premium Live Event. He teamed with The Miz, and they fell in defeat to Danhausen and Minihausen.
