Tony Khan discusses an upcoming first time ever match between Will Ospreay and Samoa Joe that will take place at AEW Double Or Nothing.
At AEW Double Or Nothing, the 2026 Owen Hart Cup will begin, with the brackets having been announced during this past week’s edition of AEW Dynamite. One match set for the opening round of the tournament will be a first time ever bout between Will Ospreay and Samoa Joe. This comes off the back of Joe attempting to pressure Ospreay into joining The Opps in recent weeks, with the Death Riders coming to Ospreay’s aid on this past Wednesday’s show, where Joe and The Opps would look to take out Ospreay.
While speaking to Sactown Sports 1140 in a new interview, Tony Khan spoke about the upcoming bout between Will and Joe, noting that it is a dream match he has wanted to see for years.
“We had an excellent, excellent confrontation between Will Ospreay and Samoa Joe. That is a first time ever fight that for me personally is a dream match for me that I have wanted to see in pro wrestling for years, and I’m so excited for Samoa Joe and Will Ospreay.”
Elsewhere in the same interview, Tony spoke about potentially playing in the AEW ‘Fairway To Heaven’ charity golf tournament. You can read more about that here.
