‘Speedball’ Mike Bailey Reacts To Potential AEW Matches For Leon Slater
‘Speedball’ Mike Bailey comments on potential AEW dream matches for TNA’s Leon Slater.
The live episode of TNA Wrestling’s Thursday Night iMPACT on AMC on May 14th was headlined by Leon Slater defending the X Division Championship against Cedric Alexander.
If Slater were to retain the belt, the next day, he would have officially become the longest-reigning TNA X Division Champion of all time.
He ended up losing the belt to Alexander. Coming off the heels of Slater’s loss, an X user posted about potential dream matches for Slater in All Elite Wrestling. That drew the attention of ‘Speedball’ Mike Bailey, who noted that the list was incredible.

Slater and Bailey have wrestled in three one-on-one matches dating back to 2022. They’ve wrestled on the independents in the United Kingdom and met on a 2024 episode of TNA iMPACT.
On the three-hour AEW Dynamite/Collision special on May 20th, ‘Speedball’ will be challenging Darby Allin for the AEW World Championship.
