Darby Allin says that if the worst thing that happens to him is death, he is happy with living a life taking risks.
Since the beginning of his pro wrestling career, Allin has been known to be no stranger to dangerous spots in pro wrestling, as he has built his notoriety around said spots.
While speaking to ESPN in a new interview, Darby Allin was asked about a spot from AEW Revolution involving Clark Connors, where he was speared to the floor.
“Connors was new to AEW, and it was his first pay-per-view, so he had to make an impact,” Allin told ESPN. “I’ve been there and know what it’s like to want to make an impact, so I thought I’d help him have his moment.”
When Darby was asked ‘how is he still alive?’ echoing a fans reaction to said spot, Allin noted he has no answer to that.
“I’ve used about all my nine lives,” Allin says, “so I have no answer to that.”
Darby then noted that if the worst thing that is going to happen is him dying, then so be it.
“If the worst that is going to happen to me is dying, so be it,” Allin says. “It’s fine, but it’s not worth sitting by and watching this life go by and doing nothing interesting with it.”
Allin is currently the AEW World Champion and is set to defend the title against Speedball Mike Bailey on tonight’s edition of AEW Dynamite.
On a recent episode of ‘Foul Play’, Sting would prank Darby. You can read more about that here.
