Throughout Sting’s run in All Elite Wrestling, he would feature in bouts alongside Darby Allin, teaming together in many featured bouts, with ‘The Icon’ taking some big risks that were inspired by Darby.

While speaking to ESPN in a new feature about Darby Allin, Sting noted that while he initially tried to talk some sense into Darby, he ended up being taught how to live life to the fullest while working with Allin.

“At first, I was trying to talk some sense into him by saying he didn’t have to do these risky moves every match. But, man, he rubbed off on me, and I ended up taking way more risks than I anticipated myself taking. By the end, you didn’t know whether the young guy was going to jump off the balcony or the old guy was going to jump off the balcony. And sometimes we both did together. We’ll be friends until one of us leaves the earth. He taught me how to live life to the fullest.”

Elsewhere in the same feature, Darby spoke about if he will tone down his style once he has children of his own. You can read more about that here.
