MJF Wins AEW World Title At AEW Double Or Nothing 2026
MJF reclaims the AEW World Championship.
The main event of AEW Double or Nothing 2026 was a Hair vs. Title match between MJF and Darby Allin. Both wrestlers had faced each other before at AEW Dynasty, where Allin defeated him to become the AEW World Champion.
Their Double or Nothing bout began with Allin hitting three back-to-back side headlock takeovers to MJF. These weren’t enough to end the match, however.
Later in the bout, MJF hit a package piledriver to Allin on the turned-over steel steps. Allin was beaten up by this point, but he eventually recovered and lowblowed MJF. He rolled him up for the pinfall, but again, it wasn’t enough to win.
Shortly after, he put MJF in the Scorpion Deathlock. The Salt of the Earth looked like he was going to tap, but he got his fingers on the ropes, and the match continued.
The finish saw Max go to the top rope for an avalanche tombstone, followed by a side headlock takeover to defeat Darby. He’s now a three-time AEW World Champion.
