Netflix VP Details How WWE Clash In Italy PLE Came About

Background about WWE’s Clash in Italy PLE that will be airing on Netflix internationally.
The next Premium Live Event on the schedule for WWE is Clash in Italy on May 31st from Inalpi Arena in Turin, Italy.
The event was spoken about by Netflix Vice President of Sports Gabe Spitzer as Spitzer guest appeared on The Main Event with Andrew Marchand. Netflix carries WWE Monday Night Raw, NXT, SmackDown, and PLEs internationally.
Spitzer shared that Netflix and WWE executives met at the beginning of 2026, and it was known that WWE on Netflix would be launching in Italy in April. It was decided that it would be beneficial to host a Premium Live Event in the country.
“When we sit down with them at the beginning of this year, whether it’s Nick Khan or Paul Levesque, their Chief Content Officer, it’s what are places that we can go around the world that’s gonna help grow WWE but also be beneficial to Netflix and this year, we knew, in Italy, we were launching in April and later this month in May, they’re gonna do one of their big PLEs, Premium Live Events in Turin so, it’s a way to push people to watch on Netflix but it’s a way to grow their business as well.”
In the USA, Clash in Italy will air on ESPN Unlimited. As of this writing, here is the lineup for the PLE:
- Undisputed WWE Championship: Cody Rhodes (c) vs. GUNTHER
- WWE World Heavyweight Championship — Tribal Combat Match: Roman Reigns (c) vs. Jacob Fatu
